Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(15 ILCS 505/16.7) Sec. 16.7. Investment transparency. (a) Purpose. The purpose of this Section is to provide for transparency in the investment of public funds by requiring the reporting of full and complete information regarding the investment moneys by the State Treasurer. (b) Online information concerning the investment of public funds. The State Treasurer shall make available on his or her official website, and update at least monthly, the following information concerning the investment of public funds: (1) the total amount of funds held by the State |

(2) the asset allocation for the investments made by

(3) the benchmarks established by the State
|
|
(4) current and historic return information; and
(5) a detailed listing of the time deposit balances,

| including for each deposit, the name of the financial institution and the deposit rate.

(c) Information exempt from reporting requirement. Nothing in this Section requires the State Treasurer to make information available on the Internet that is exempt from inspection and copying under the Freedom of Information Act.
