Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 605-810. Reemployment of former employees. When the Department is involved in developing a federal or State
funded training or retraining program for any employer, the Department may
assist and encourage that employer in making every effort to reemploy
individuals previously employed at the facility. Further, the Department may
provide a list of those employees to the
employer for
consideration
for reemployment. This requirement shall be in effect
when all of the following conditions are met:
(1) The employer is reopening, or is proposing to |
| reopen, a facility that was last closed during the preceding 2 years.

(2) A substantial number of the persons who were
|
| employed at the facility before its most recent closure remain unemployed.
|
|
(3) The product or service produced by, or proposed
|
| to be produced by, the employer at the facility is substantially similar to the product or service produced at the facility before its most recent closure.
