Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 30. Powers and duties of the Department. The Department may exercise the following functions, powers and duties:
        (a) formulate rules for the administration and
    
enforcement of this Act;
        (b) prescribe forms to be issued for the
    
administration and enforcement of this Act and utilize regular or electronic mail, at the discretion of the Department, to send notices and other information to applicants and licensees;
        (c) conduct hearings or proceedings to refuse to
    
issue or renew, or to suspend, revoke, place on probation, reprimand, or take disciplinary or non-disciplinary action as the Department may deem appropriate under this Act;
        (d) (blank);
        (e) seek the advice and expert knowledge of the
    
Board on any matter relating to the administration and enforcement of this Act; and
        (f) exercise any and all general powers and duties
    
set forth in Section 2105-15 of the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
