Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 10. Veterans' and Military Discount Program. The Department of Veterans' Affairs shall establish and administer a Veterans' and Military Discount Program that enables veterans, active duty military personnel, and those spouses and dependents of veterans and military personnel who have been issued a valid Military ID card or Military Dependent ID card to use the following photo identification at participating merchants to receive a discount on goods and services or to receive another appropriate money-saving promotion of a merchant's choice:
        (1) veterans who have a valid driver's license or
    
Illinois Identification Card issued pursuant to subsection (e) of Section 6-106 of the Illinois Vehicle Code or subsection (c-5) of Section 4 of the Illinois Identification Card Act;
        (2) active duty military personnel who have a valid
    
Common Access Card issued by the U.S. Department of Defense indicating the cardholder's active duty status; and
        (3) those spouses and dependents of veterans and
    
military personnel who have been issued a valid Military ID card or Military Dependent ID card.
