Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(410 ILCS 45/9.4) Sec. 9.4. Owner's obligation to post notice. The owner of a regulated facility who has received a mitigation notice under Section 9 of this Act shall post notices at all entrances to the regulated facility specifying the identified lead hazards. The posted notices, drafted by the Department and sent to the property owner with the notification of lead hazards, shall indicate the following: (1) that a unit or units in the building have been |
| found to have lead hazards;
(2) that other units in the building may have lead
(3) that the Department recommends that children 6
| years of age or younger receive blood lead testing;
(4) where to seek further information; and
(5) whether 2 or more mitigation notices have been
| issued for the regulated facility within a 5-year period of time.
Once the owner has complied with a mitigation notice or mitigation order issued by the Department, the owner may remove the notices posted pursuant to this Section.
