Information maintained by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

430 ILCS 85/2-18

    (430 ILCS 85/2-18) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4068)
Sec. 2-18. Waiver of inspection. The Director may waive the requirement that an amusement ride or amusement attraction or any part thereof be inspected before being operated, and may waive any applicable fees for inspection, if an operator gives satisfactory proof to the Director that the amusement ride or amusement attraction or any part thereof has passed an inspection conducted by a public or private agency whose inspection standards and requirements are at least as stringent as those requirements and standards established by the Department under the provisions of this Act. The Department may compel any documentation or evidence necessary to prove compliance with the requirements of Section 2-17. The annual permit fees shall be paid before the Director may waive this requirement.
