Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(730 ILCS 5/3-2.7-35) Sec. 3-2.7-35. Reports. The Independent Juvenile Ombudsman shall provide to the General Assembly and the Governor, no later than January 1 of each year, a summary of activities done in furtherance of the purpose of
the Office for the prior fiscal year. The summaries shall contain data both aggregated and disaggregated by individual facility and describe: (1) the work of the Ombudsman; (2) the status of any review or investigation |
| undertaken by the Ombudsman, but may not contain any confidential or identifying information concerning the subjects of the reports and investigations; and

(3) any recommendations that the Independent Juvenile
|
| Ombudsman has relating to a systemic issue in the Department of Juvenile Justice's provision of services and any other matters for consideration by the General Assembly and the Governor.
