Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. Sec. 1.

Purpose.

It is the purpose of this Act to assure adequate
protection for
those who contract through pre-need contracts for the purchase of certain
cemetery merchandise and cemetery services and undeveloped interment,
entombment or inurnment space, when the seller may delay
delivery or
performance more than 120 days following initial payment on the account.
