Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(5 ILCS 100/5-45.60) Sec. 5-45.60. Emergency rulemaking; Network Adequacy and Transparency Act. To provide for the expeditious and timely implementation of the Network Adequacy and Transparency Act, emergency rules implementing federal standards for provider ratios, travel time and distance, and appointment wait times if such standards apply to health insurance coverage regulated by the Department of Insurance and are more stringent than the State standards extant at the time the final federal standards are published may be adopted in accordance with Section 5-45 by the Department of Insurance. The adoption of emergency rules authorized by Section 5-45 and this Section is deemed to be necessary for the public interest, safety, and welfare.(Source: P.A. 103-650, eff. 1-1-25; 104-417, eff. 8-15-25.) |
