Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(5 ILCS 100/5-45.63) (This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a delayed effective date) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 5-45.63. Emergency rulemaking; Developmental Disability and Mental Disability Services Act. To provide for the expeditious and timely implementation of the changes made to Section 2-6 of the Developmental Disability and Mental Disability Services Act by this amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly, emergency rules implementing the changes made to that Section by this amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly may be adopted in accordance with Section 5-45 by the Department of Human Services or any other agency essential to the implementation of the changes. The adoption of emergency rules authorized by Section 5-45 and this Section is deemed to be necessary for the public interest, safety, and welfare. This Section is repealed one year after the effective date of this Section. (Source: P.A. 104-2, eff. 1-1-26.) |
