Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(30 ILCS 105/8.37) (Text of Section before amendment by P.A. 104-131) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 8.37. State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund. (a) The State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund is created as a special fund in the State Treasury. (b) Grants or surcharge funds allocated to the Illinois State Police from the Statewide 9-1-1 Fund shall be deposited into the State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund and shall be used in accordance with Section 30 of the Emergency Telephone System Act. (c) On July 1, 1999, the State Comptroller and State Treasurer shall transfer $1,300,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund. On June 30, 2003 the State Comptroller and State Treasurer shall transfer $1,300,000 from the State Police Wireless Service Emergency Fund to the General Revenue Fund.(Source: P.A. 102-538, eff. 8-20-21.)
