Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(70 ILCS 705/6.3) Sec. 6.3. Health insurance; joint mental health therapy services. If a fire protection district is a self-insurer for purposes of providing health insurance coverage for officers and members of the fire department, the insurance coverage shall include joint mental health therapy services for any officer or member of the fire department and any spouse or partner of the officer or member who resides with the officer or member. The joint mental health therapy services provided under this Section shall be performed by a physician licensed to practice medicine in all of its branches, a licensed clinical psychologist, a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed clinical professional counselor, a licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed social worker, or a licensed professional counselor.(Source: P.A. 103-818, eff. 1-1-25; 104-417, eff. 8-15-25.) |
