Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(105 ILCS 5/27-240) (was 105 ILCS 110/3.10) Sec. 27-240. Policy on teen dating violence. (a) As used in this Section: "Dating" or "dating relationship" means an ongoing social relationship of a romantic or intimate nature between 2 persons. "Dating" or "dating relationship" does not include a casual relationship or ordinary fraternization between 2 persons in a business or social context. (b) The school board of each public school district in this State shall adopt a policy that does all of the following: (1) States that teen dating violence is unacceptable | ||

(2) Incorporates age-appropriate education about teen | ||

(3) Establishes procedures for the manner in which | ||

(4) Identifies by job title the school officials who | ||
| ||
(5) Notifies students and parents of the teen dating | ||
