Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(210 ILCS 9/95) Sec. 95. Resident rights. No resident shall be deprived of any rights, benefits, or privileges guaranteed by law, the Constitution of the State of Illinois, or the Constitution of the United States solely on account of his or her status as a resident of an establishment, nor shall a resident forfeit any of the following rights: (1) the right to retain and use personal property and | ||

(4) the right to the free exercise of religion; (5) the right to privacy with regard to mail, phone | ||

(7) the right to be free of retaliation for | ||

(8) the right to be free of chemical and physical | ||
| ||
(9) the right to be free of abuse or neglect or to | ||
| ||
(10) the right to confidentiality of the resident's | ||
| ||
(11) the right of access and the right to copy the | ||
| ||
(12) the right to 24 hours access to the | ||
| ||
(13) the right to a minimum of 90 days' notice of a | ||
| ||
(14) the right to a minimum of 30 days' notice of an | ||
| ||
(15) the right to a 30-day notice of delinquency and | ||
| ||
(16) the right to not be unlawfully transferred or | ||
