Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(210 ILCS 85/11.7a) Sec. 11.7a. Early intervention services. (a) Through June 30, 2026, a hospital shall provide written information, which may be provided electronically, on the Early Intervention program administered under the Early Intervention Services System Act to any parent or legal guardian whose child is admitted to the neonatal intensive care department. With a parent or legal guardian, a hospital staff member familiar with the Early Intervention program shall initiate prior to discharge from the hospital written referrals to the Early Intervention program for all children admitted to the neonatal intensive care department who qualify for early intervention services under paragraph (2) or (3) of subsection (a) of Section 3 of the Early Intervention Services System Act. (b) Beginning July 1, 2026, a hospital shall provide written information, which may be provided electronically, on the Early Intervention program administered under the Department of Early Childhood Act to any parent or legal guardian whose child is admitted to the neonatal intensive care department. With a parent or legal guardian, a hospital staff member familiar with the Early Intervention program shall initiate prior to discharge from the hospital written referrals to the Early Intervention program for all children admitted to the neonatal intensive care department who qualify for early intervention services under paragraph (2) or (3) of subsection (a) of Section 10-15 of the Department of Early Childhood Act.(Source: P.A. 104-294, eff. 1-1-26.) |
