Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(210 ILCS 125/13) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 1213) Sec. 13. Rules. The Department shall promulgate, publish, adopt and amend such rules as may be necessary for the proper enforcement of this Act, to protect the health and safety of the public using swimming facilities and their appurtenances, and may, when necessary, utilize the services of any other state agencies to assist in carrying out the purposes of this Act. These rules shall include but are not limited to design criteria for swimming facility areas, aquatic features including overhead systems or similar interactive equipment, and bather preparation facilities, standards relating to sanitation, cleanliness, plumbing, water supply, sewage and solid waste disposal, design and construction of all equipment, buildings, rodent and insect control, communicable disease control, safety and sanitation of appurtenant swimming facilities. The rules must include provisions for the prevention of bather entrapment or entanglement at new and existing swimming facilities. Bather preparation facilities consisting of dressing room space, toilets and showers shall be available for use of patrons of swimming facilities, except as provided by Department rules.(Source: P.A. 104-349, eff. 1-1-26.) |
