Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(225 ILCS 30/17) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028) Sec. 17. Other activities subject to licensure under this Act. (a) is a registered dietitian or registered | ||

(b) is a certified nutrition support clinician as | ||

(c) meets the requirements set forth in rules | ||

(2) Notification to the patient's physician and | ||

(b) Developing and managing food service operations whose chief function is nutrition care or that are otherwise utilized in the management or treatment of diseases or medical conditions shall only be performed by an individual licensed under this Act with competencies in the management of health care food service. (c) A licensed dietitian nutritionist may order oral therapeutic diets. (d) A licensed dietitian nutritionist shall provide nutrition care services using systematic, evidence-based problem solving methods of the nutrition care process to critically think and make decisions to address nutrition-related problems and provide safe, effective, and quality nutrition services, including medical nutrition therapy, for individuals in clinical and community settings.(Source: P.A. 104-417, eff. 8-15-25.) |
