Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(225 ILCS 410/2-4) (from Ch. 111, par. 1702-4) (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) Sec. 2-4. Licensure as a barber teacher; qualifications. A person is qualified to receive a license as a barber teacher if that person files an application electronically on forms provided by the Department, pays the required fee, and: a. Is at least 18 years of age; b. Has graduated from high school or its equivalent; c. Has a current license as a barber or cosmetologist; d. Has graduated from a licensed barber school or | ||

(1) completed a total of 500 hours in barber | ||

(2) completed a total of 1,000 hours of barber | ||

(3) completed the cosmetology teacher training as | ||

e. Has passed an examination authorized by the | ||

An applicant who is issued a license as a barber teacher is not required to maintain a barber license in order to practice barbering as defined in this Act.(Source: P.A. 104-153, eff. 1-1-26.) |
