Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS)
Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.
(625 ILCS 80/25) Sec. 25. Fines; notice. A person who violates this Act shall be subject to a $100 fine for each offense. Proceeds from fines shall be deposited into the State Police Law Enforcement Administration Fund. For each violation of a provision of this Act recorded by an automatic traffic safety system, the State Police shall issue a written notice of the violation to the registered owner of the vehicle as the alleged violator. The notice shall be delivered to the registered owner of the vehicle, by mail, within 30 days after the Secretary of State notifies the State Police of the identity of the owner of the vehicle, but in no event later than 90 days after the violation. (2) the registration number of the motor vehicle | ||

(3) the violation charged; (4) the location where the violation occurred; (5) the date and time of the violation; (6) a copy of the recorded images; (7) the amount of the civil penalty imposed and the | ||

(8) a statement that recorded images are evidence of | ||
| ||
(9) a warning that failure to pay the civil penalty, | ||

(10) a statement that the person may elect to proceed | ||
| ||
(A) paying the fine, completing a required | ||
| ||
(B) challenging the charge in court, by mail, or | ||
| ||
(11) a website address, accessible through the | ||
| ||
