1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 231
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 231 on page 1, line
3 1, by replacing "changing Section 1" with "adding Section
4 1.005"; and
5 on page 1, line 4, by replacing "changing Section 1" with
6 "adding Section 1.005"; and
7 on page 1, by replacing lines 6 through 31 with the
8 following:
9 "(765 ILCS 205/1.005 new)
10 Sec. 1.005. School district statement.
11 (a) When an owner is required to file a plat pursuant to
12 Section 1 of this Act, the owner shall submit simultaneously
13 with the subdivision plat a notarized statement indicating,
14 to the best of the owner's knowledge, the school district in
15 which each tract, parcel, lot, or block lies.
16 (b) An owner who knowingly files an incorrect statement
17 under this Section is liable for damages to any subsequent
18 purchaser of the property who relies on the incorrect
19 statement to that person's detriment."; and
20 by deleting pages 2 and 3; and
21 on page 4, by deleting lines 1 through 20.
