Provides that these provisions do not prohibit certain price differentiations. The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business 6 Practices Act is amended by adding Section 2B.3 as follows: 7 (815 ILCS 505/2B.3 new) 8 Sec. 2B.3. Discrimination based on gender. 9 (a) It is an unlawful practice for a person to 10 discriminate, with respect to the price charged for services 11 of similar or like kind, against a person because of the 12 person's gender. 13 (b) Nothing in subsection (a) prohibits price 14 differences based specifically upon the amount of time, 15 difficulty, or cost of providing the services. 16 (c) Nothing in subsection (a) prohibits the 17 differentiation of prices or charges for insurance 18 underwriting or rating practices or for health care services.
