305 ILCS 5/12-4.11a new
Amends the Public Aid Code. Provides that if a public
aid recipient is employed other than as a participant in an
employment program established or utilized by the Department
of Human Services, as successor to the Department of Public
Aid in administering employment programs, the Department of
Human Services shall reimburse the recipient for a portion of
the recipient's costs of transportation to and from his or
her place of employment as provided by rule.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by adding
2 Section 12-4.11a.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
6 adding Section 12-4.11a as follows:
7 (305 ILCS 5/12-4.11a new)
8 Sec. 12-4.11a. Employment transportation expenses. If a
9 recipient of public aid is employed other than as a
10 participant in an employment program established or utilized
11 by the Illinois Department under Article VI, IX, or IXA, the
12 Illinois Department shall reimburse the recipient for a
13 portion of the recipient's cost of transportation to and from
14 his or her place of employment as provided by rule.
