Amend House Bill 655 on page 2, by 3 replacing line 26 with the following: 4 "extend to any person for longer than 6 months, except as 5 follows: 6 (i) if the date on which a person takes the examination 7 authorized by the Department extends beyond 6 months from the 8 date the person completes the occupational therapy program as 9 required under Section 8 or 9, the Department shall extend 10 the exemption until the results of that examination become 11 available to the Department; or 12 (ii) if the Department is unable to complete its 13 evaluation and processing of a person's application for a 14 license within 6 months after the date on which the 15 application is submitted to the Department in proper form, 16 the Department shall extend the exemption until the 17 Department has completed its evaluation and processing of the 18 application.".
