Amends the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Requires
entities that issue access devices to disclose to the
consumer in every billing statement the fees charged for the
use of automatic teller machines.

1 AN ACT to amend the Electronic Fund Transfer Act by
2 adding Section 47.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Electronic Fund Transfer Act is amended by
6 adding Section 47 as follows:
7 (205 ILCS 616/47 new)
8 Sec. 47. Disclosure of fees for use of terminals. The
9 entity that issued a consumer's access device shall disclose
10 to the consumer in every billing statement provided to the
11 consumer a schedule of fees imposed upon the consumer for the
12 use of terminals. The disclosure shall set forth the fees for
13 use of terminals established by the entity that issued the
14 consumer's access device and the fees for use of terminals
15 established by entities other than the entity that issued the
16 consumer's access device.
