1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 844
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 844 on page 3, by
3 replacing lines 6 through 26 with the following:
4 "(1) Damage or loss while the rental vehicle is
5 used to carry persons or property for a charge or fee.
6 (2) Damage or loss during an organized or agreed
7 upon racing or speed contest or demonstration or pushing
8 or pulling activity in which the rental vehicle is
9 actively involved.
10 (3) Damage or loss that could reasonably be
11 expected from an intentional or criminal act of the
12 driver other than a traffic infraction.
13 (4) Damage or loss to any rental vehicle resulting
14 from any auto business operation, including but not
15 limited to repairing, servicing, testing, washing,
16 parking, storing, or selling of automobiles.
17 (5) Damage or loss occurring to a rental vehicle if
18 the rental contract is based on fraudulent or material
19 misrepresentation by the renter.
20 (6) Damage or loss arising out of the use of the
21 rental vehicle outside the continental United States when
22 such use is specifically prohibited in the rental
23 agreement.
24 (7) Damage or loss occurring while the rental

1 vehicle is operated by a driver not permitted under the
2 rental agreement.".
