1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act by
2 changing Section 1-104.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act is
6 amended by changing Section 1-104 as follows:
7 (5 ILCS 420/1-104) (from Ch. 127, par. 601-104)
8 Sec. 1-104. Compensation. "Compensation" means any
9 money, thing of value, or economic benefit conferred on, or
10 received by, any person in return for services rendered, or
11 to be rendered, by himself or another.
