1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1129
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1129, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment
4 No. 1, by replacing lines 17 through 22 of page 1 and lines 1
5 and 2 of page 2 with the following:
6 "(b) For families receiving cash assistance under this
7 Article who have both earned income and child support income,
8 the Department shall distribute to the family all child
9 support, up to the amount of the monthly current support
10 obligation or obligations received on behalf of all children
11 in the household who receive cash assistance. The Department
12 shall budget the child support income by reducing the monthly
13 cash assistance for the household by an amount equal to
14 one-third of the child support distributed to the household
15 under this Section. The household shall continue to be
16 eligible for cash assistance under this Article if the total
17 monthly income for the household from the combination of
18 budgeted earned income and budgeted child support does not
19 exceed the federal poverty level as defined by the United
20 States Department of Health and Human Services.".
