1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Civil Procedure by changing
2 Section 1-102.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
6 changing Section 1-102 as follows:
7 (735 ILCS 5/1-102) (from Ch. 110, par. 1-102)
8 Sec. 1-102. Continuation of prior statutes. The
9 provisions of this Act insofar as they are the same or
10 substantially the same as those of any prior statute, shall
11 be construed as a continuation of that such prior statute and
12 not as a new enactment.
13 If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of
14 the General Assembly, or an Article or a Section of such an
15 Act, which is continued in this Act, such reference shall
16 refer to the Act, Article, or Section thereof so continued in
17 this Act.
