1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Municipal Code by changing
2 Section 11-30-6.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
6 changing Section 11-30-6 as follows:
7 (65 ILCS 5/11-30-6) (from Ch. 24, par. 11-30-6)
8 Sec. 11-30-6. Lighting. The corporate authorities of each
9 municipality may regulate the lighting of stairs, vestibules,
10 passageways and common ways in premises containing more than
11 2 flats or apartments and to require the owner, lessee,
12 person, firm or corporation having control of such stairs,
13 vestibules, passageways and common ways to light the same.
