1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Highway Code by changing
2 Section 5-507.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by
6 changing Section 5-507 as follows:
7 (605 ILCS 5/5-507) (from Ch. 121, par. 5-507)
8 Sec. 5-507. Suit on joint contract. If the county board
9 of any such county, after reasonable notice in writing from
10 such other county board, neglects or refuses to construct or
11 repair any such bridge or culvert when any contract or
12 agreement covering the division of cost has been made in
13 regard to the same, the county board so giving notice may
14 construct or repair the same and recover, by suit, such
15 amount as shall have been agreed upon of the expense of so
16 constructing or repairing such bridge or culvert, with costs
17 of suit and interest from the time of the completion thereof,
18 from the county board so neglecting or refusing.
