1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Civil Procedure by changing
2 Section 1-105.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
6 changing Section 1-105 as follows:
7 (735 ILCS 5/1-105) (from Ch. 110, par. 1-105)
8 Sec. 1-105. Enforcement of Code Act and rules. The
9 Supreme Court may provide by rule for the orderly and
10 expeditious administration and enforcement of this Code Act
11 and of the rules, including the striking of pleadings, the
12 dismissal of claims, the entry of defaults, the assessment of
13 costs, the assessment against an offending party of the
14 reasonable expenses, including attorney's fees, which any
15 violation causes another party to incur, or other action that
16 may be appropriate.
