The Dietetic and Nutrition Services Practice 6 Act is amended by changing Section 60 as follows: 7 (225 ILCS 30/60) (from Ch. 111, par. 8401-60) 8 Sec. 60. Licensure without examination. 9 (a) For the 24 months beginning on the effective date of 10 this Act, the Department shall grant a license as a 11 dietitian, upon review of the application, to an applicant 12 who is a registered dietitian and who practices dietetics in 13 Illinois or any individual who can document employment in the 14 practice of dietetics in this StateIllinoisfor 3 of the 5 15 years preceding the effective date of this Act and who meets 16 the educational qualifications of this Act, if that person 17 submits an application and pays the necessary fees. 18 (b) For the 24 months beginning on the effective date of 19 this Act, the Department shall grant a license as a nutrition 20 counselor to any person who practices nutrition services in 21 Illinois, can document employment as a nutrition counselor, 22 and received remuneration for nutrition counseling for at 23 least 3 of the last 5 years before the effective date of this 24 Act, if that person submits an application, pays the 25 necessary fees, and upon evaluation of his or her 26 qualifications by the Department is found to have a level of 27 competency required by this Act. 28 (Source: P.A. 87-784; 87-1000.)
