1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1459
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1459 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 9 through 29 with the following:
4 "(a) The Department shall develop a collaborative plan
5 to provide and pay for medical and mental health screenings
6 for all children taken into temporary protective custody due
7 to abuse or neglect. The plan shall include how best to use
8 existing resources to pay for these evaluations.
9 (b) The Department shall report the plan it develops to
10 the General Assembly by March 15, 1998.".
