The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems 6 Act is amended by changing Section 3.160 as follows: 7 (210 ILCS 50/3.160) 8 Sec. 3.160. Employer responsibility. 9 (a) No employer shall knowingly employ or permit any 10 employee to perform any services for which a license, 11 certificate or other authorization is required by this Act, 12 or by rules adopted pursuant to this Act, unless and until 13 the person so employed possesses all licenses, certificates 14 or authorizations that are so required. 15 (b) Any person or entity that employs or supervises a 16 person's activities as a First Responder or Emergency Medical 17 Dispatcher shall cooperate with the Department's efforts to 18 monitor and enforce compliance by those individuals with the 19 requirements of this Act. 20 (Source: P.A. 89-177, eff. 7-19-95.)
