 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1552
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1552,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    in  Section  5  of  the  bill, in Sec. 6.9, by replacing "and
 4    356w" with ", 356w, and 356x"; and
 5    in Section 15 of the bill, in  Sec.  5-1069.3,  by  replacing
 6    "and 356w" with ", 356w, and 356x"; and
 7    in  Section  20  of  the bill, in Sec. 10-4-2.3, by replacing
 8    "and 356w" with ", 356w, and 356x"; and
 9    in Section 25 of the bill, in  Sec.  10-22.3f,  by  replacing
10    "and 356w" with ", 356w, and 356x"; and
11    in  the  introductory  clause  to  Section  30 of the bill by
12    replacing "Section 356w" with "Sections 356w and 356x"; and
13    in  the  body  of  Section  30  of  the  bill  by   inserting
14    immediately below the last line of Sec. 356w the following:
15        "(215 ILCS 5/356x new)
16        Sec. 356x.  Coverage for colorectal cancer screening.
17        (a)  An  insurer  shall  provide  in  each  group policy,
18    contract, or certificate of  accident  and  health  insurance
19    amended,  delivered,  issued, or renewed covering persons who
20    are residents of this State coverage  for  colorectal  cancer

 1    screening  with  sigmoidoscopy  or fecal occult blood testing
 2    once every 3 years for persons who are at least 50 years old.
 3        (b)  For persons who may be classified as high  risk  for
 4    colorectal cancer because the person or a first degree family
 5    member  of the person has a history of colorectal cancer, the
 6    coverage required under subsection (a) shall apply to persons
 7    who have attained at least 30 years of age.
 8        (c)  This  Section  does   not   apply   to   agreements,
 9    contracts,  or policies that provide coverage for a specified
10    disease or other limited benefit coverage."; and
11    in Section 35 of the bill, in Sec.  5-3  the  first  time  it
12    appears,  in subsection (a), by replacing "356w," with "356w,
13    356x,"; and
14    in Section 35 of the bill, in Sec. 5-3  the  second  time  it
15    appears,  in  subsection (a) by replacing "356w," with "356w,
16    356x,"; and
17    in Section 40 of the bill, in Sec. 3009, in  subsection  (e),
18    by  replacing  "Section  356w" with "Sections 356w and 356x";
19    and
20    in Section 45 of the bill, in Sec. 10, by  replacing  "356w,"
21    with "356w, 356x,"; and
22    in  Section 50 of the bill, in Sec. 5-16.8, by replacing "and
23    356w" with ", 356w, and 356x".
