1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1565
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1565 on page 4 by
3 replacing lines 19 through 26 with the following:
4 "maintenance organization may undertake to provide or
5 arrange for and to pay for or reimburse the cost of basic
6 outpatient preventive and primary health care services. The
7 Department shall promulgate rules to establish minimum
8 coverage and disclosure requirements. These requirements at
9 a minimum shall include routine physical examinations and
10 immunizations, sick visits, diagnostic x-rays and laboratory
11 services, and emergency outpatient services. Coverage may
12 also include preventive dental"; and
13 on page 4, line 28, by changing "Coverage" to "The coverage
14 may include any reasonable copayments, deductibles, and
15 benefit maximums subject to limitations established by the
16 Director by rule. Coverage"; and
17 on page 4, line 32, by replacing "Code" with "Code. Any such
18 coverage shall be made available to an adult on behalf of
19 such children and shall not be funded through State
20 appropriations"; and
21 on page 5 by inserting immediately below line 6 the
22 following:

1 "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2 becoming law.".
