Assistance Commission in the provisions relating to a
marketing program to inform parents of available options to
finance a college education.

1 AN ACT to amend the Baccalaureate Savings Act by changing
2 Section 10.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Baccalaureate Savings Act is amended by
6 changing Section 10 as follows:
7 (110 ILCS 920/10) (from Ch. 144, par. 2410)
8 Sec. 10. The Illinois Board of Higher Education, with
9 the assistance of the Illinois Student Assistance State
10 Scholarship Commission, shall develop and implement an
11 educational program and marketing strategies designed to
12 inform parents about the options available for financing a
13 college education and the need to accumulate the financial
14 resources necessary to pay for a college education. The
15 Board and the Commission shall report to the Governor and the
16 General Assembly on the program developed and its operation
17 prior to April 30, 1988. The Illinois Board of Higher
18 Education shall promulgate rules and regulations with respect
19 to their powers and duties pursuant to this Act.
