1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1668
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1668 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning the conveyance of school property.";
5 and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. For and in consideration of the sum of $1,
9 Bethalto Community Unit School District No. 8, Madison
10 County, Illinois is authorized to convey, by quitclaim deed
11 executed by the president and attested by the secretary of
12 the school board of that school district, to Community Hope
13 Center, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation organized and
14 existing under the laws of the State of Illinois, all right,
15 title, and interest of Bethalto Community Unit School
16 District No. 8, Madison County, Illinois in and to the
17 following described real estate, together with the
18 improvements situated thereon, to wit:
19 A tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of the
20 Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 5 North, Range 9
21 West of the Third Principal Meridian, in Madison County,
22 Illinois, described as follows:

1 Beginning at a point 277.33 feet South and 16 1/2
2 feet East of the Northwest corner of said Section 2;
3 thence Easterly on a line parallel to the North line of
4 said Section 2, a distance of 431.8 feet to a point,
5 thence South on a line parallel to the West line of said
6 Section 2, a distance of 1121.07 feet to a point on the
7 South line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 2;
8 thence Westerly along said South line, a distance of
9 431.8 feet to a point 16 1/2 feet East on the West line
10 of said Section 2; thence North on a line parallel to the
11 West line of said Section 2, and 16 1/2 feet East
12 thereof, a distance of 1109.07 feet to the place of
13 beginning.
14 also,
15 A strip of land 33.5 feet wide and 277.33 feet long
16 in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
17 Section 2, Township 5 North, Range 9 West of the Third
18 Principal Meridian, in Madison County, Illinois, more
19 particularly described as follows:
20 Beginning at a point on the North line of said
21 Section 2, said point being 16.5 feet East of the
22 Northwest corner of said Section; thence South on a line
23 parallel to the West line of said Section 2, and 16 1/2
24 feet East thereof, a distance of 277.33 feet to a point;
25 thence East on a line parallel to the North line of said
26 Section 2, a distance of 33.5 feet to a point; thence
27 North on a line parallel to the West line of said Section
28 2, a distance of 277.33 feet to a point on the North line
29 of said Section; thence West along the North line of said
30 Section, a distance of 33.5 feet to the place of
31 beginning.
32 Situated in the Township of Wood River, County of
33 Madison and State of Illinois.

1 Section 10. The secretary of the school board of
2 Bethalto Community Unit School District No. 8, Madison
3 County, Illinois, shall obtain a certified copy of this Act
4 within 60 days after its effective date, and upon receipt of
5 payment of the consideration of $1, shall record the
6 certified document in the Recorder's Office of Madison
7 County, Illinois.
8 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
9 becoming a law.".
