1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1685
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1685, by replacing
3 the title with:
4 "An ACT in relation to school districts, amending named
5 Acts."; and
6 by replacing lines 5 through 31 on page 1, all of pages 2
7 through 18, and lines 1 through 14 of page 19 with the
8 following:
9 "Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by
10 changing Section 5-50 as follows:
11 (105 ILCS 230/5-50)
12 Sec. 5-50. Referendum requirements. After the State
13 Board of Education has approved all or part of a district's
14 application and issued a grant entitlement for a school
15 construction project grant, the district shall submit the
16 project or the financing of the project to a referendum when
17 such referendum is required by law, provided that a district
18 that passed a referendum for approved construction bonds but
19 has not yet issued the bonds authorized by the referendum may
20 receive a grant entitlement without re-submitting the project
21 or financing to referendum.
