1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Purchasing Act by changing
2 Section 9.05.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Purchasing Act is amended by
6 changing Section 9.05 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 505/9.05) (from Ch. 127, par. 132.9e)
8 Sec. 9.05. Human services contracts or grants. Every
9 State agency which contracts or provides grants for human
10 services may, upon request of the provider of such service,
11 review the contract or grant, upon notification by the
12 provider that the cost of the provider's property and
13 casualty insurance has increased by 25% or more. The State
14 agency or agencies may adjust the existing contract or grant
15 with the service provider in accordance with any agreement
16 reached and subject to the limitations of that agency's
17 appropriated funds.
18 For purposes of this Section the revised contract amount
19 shall not exceed the percentage calculated by dividing the
20 total contract or grant amount by the provider's total budget
21 as agreed to by the State agency.
