1 AN ACT to amend the Medical Practice Act of 1987 by
2 changing Section 55.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended
6 by changing Section 55 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 60/55) (from Ch. 111, par. 4400-55)
8 Sec. 55. A Any person who holds himself or herself
9 themselves out to treat human ailments by any system or
10 method of treatment other than that for which he or she holds
11 they hold a valid license shall be sentenced as provided in
12 Section 59.
