90_HB1932 Appropriates $285,530,400 to the Illinois Community College Board for FY98 for its ordinary and contingent expenses and for credit hour and other distributive grants from the following funds: General Revenue Fund $246,289,100 Education Assistance Fund $ 24,741,300 ICCB Contracts and Grants Fund $ 13,000,000 AFDC Opportunities Fund $ 1,500,000 Effective July 1, 1997. LRB9005251WHcd LRB9005251WHcd 1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Illinois Community 2 College Board. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much 6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 7 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Community 8 College Board for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the 9 Central Office: 10 For Personal Services........................... $ 1,001,800 11 For State Contributions to Social 12 Security, for Medicare...................... 10,100 13 For Employee Retirement Contributions 14 Paid by Employer............................ 12,800 15 For Contractual Services........................ 289,200 16 For Travel...................................... 44,100 17 For Commodities................................. 7,900 18 For Printing.................................... 18,300 19 For Equipment................................... 11,300 20 For Electronic Data Processing.................. 347,400 21 For Telecommunications.......................... 30,900 22 For Operation of Automotive 23 Equipment................................... 100 24 Total $1,773,900 25 Section 10. The sum of $24,673,900, or so much thereof 6 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 7 Assistance Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for 8 distribution as credit hour grants. 9 Section 25. The sum of $25,000, or so much thereof as 10 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education 11 Assistance Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a 12 grant to the Illinois Occupational Information Coordinating 13 Committee. 14 Section 30. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as 15 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 16 Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a grant to 17 the Illinois Institute for Entrepreneurship Education. 18 Section 35. The sum of $13,000,000, or so much thereof 19 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois 20 Community College Board Contracts and Grants Fund to the 21 Illinois Community College Board to be expended under the 22 terms and conditions associated with the moneys being 23 received. 24 Section 40. The sum of $1,500,000, or so much thereof as 25 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Community 26 College Board, from the AFDC Opportunities Fund for the 27 administration of the Opportunities program, and grants to 28 colleges, including reimbursement for costs incurred in prior 29 years. -4- LRB9005251WHcd 1 Section 45. The sum of $150,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 3 Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for awarding 4 scholarships to graduates of the Lincoln's Challenge program. 5 Section 50. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as 6 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 7 Fund to the Illinois Community College Board for a new 8 district development grant to Metropolitan Community College, 9 that district having been formed as of July 1, 1996. 10 Section 55. The sum of $300,000, or so much thereof as 11 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 12 fund to the Illinois Community College Board for the 13 development of statewide occupational skills standards. 14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 15 1, 1997.
