90_HB1955 Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both to the Department of Military Affairs for fiscal year 1998. Effective July 1, 1997. LRB9005237WHcd LRB9005237WHcd 1 AN ACT making appropriations. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 1. The sum of $1,194,727, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 17 business on June 30, 1997, from appropriations heretofore 18 made in Article 31, Section 1 of Public Act 89-0501, is 19 reappropriated from the Federal Support Agreement Revolving 20 Fund to the Department of Military Affairs for all costs 21 associated with the Lincoln's Challenge Stipend. 22 Section 3. The sum of $3,000,000, or so much thereof as 23 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal Support 24 Agreement Revolving Fund to the Department of Military 25 Affairs for expenses related to Army National Guard 26 Facilities operations and maintenance as provided for in the 27 Cooperative Funding Agreements. 28 Section 4. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as 29 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 30 business on June 30, 1997, from appropriations heretofore 31 made in Article 31, Sec. 3 of Public Act 89-0501, is -3- LRB9005237WHcd 1 reappropriated from the Federal Support Agreement Revolving 2 Fund to the Department of Military Affairs for expenses 3 related to Army National Guard Facilities operations and 4 maintenance as provided for in the Cooperative Fund 5 Agreement. 6 Section 5. The sum of $275,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Federal Support 8 Agreement Revolving Fund to the Department of Military 9 Affairs for expenses related to the Bartonville and Kankakee 10 armories for operations and maintenance according to the 11 Joint-Use Agreement. 12 Section 6. The sum of $48,500, or so much thereof as may 13 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 14 to the Department of Military Affairs for rehabilitation and 15 minor construction at armories and camps. 16 No contract shall be entered into or obligation incurred 17 for any expenditures from this appropriation until after the 18 purposes and amounts have been approved in writing by the 19 Governor. 20 Section 7. The sum of $10,700, or so much thereof as may 21 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 22 to the Department of Military Affairs for expenses related 23 to the care and preservation of historic artifacts. 24 Section 8. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as 25 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Military Affairs 26 Trust Fund to the Department of Military Affairs to support 27 youth programs, provided such amounts shall not exceed funds 28 to be made available from public or private sources. 29 Section 9. The sum of $43,354, or so much of that sum as -4- LRB9005237WHcd 1 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 2 business on June 30, 1997 from reappropriations heretofore 3 made in Article 31, Section 9 of Public Act 89-0501, is 4 reappropriated from the Illinois National Guard Armory 5 Construction Fund to the Department of Military Affairs to 6 provide the State's share in the costs of planning a new 7 armory in Danville. No contract shall be entered into or 8 obligation incurred for any expenditures from this 9 appropriation until after the purposes and amounts have been 10 approved in writing by the Governor. 11 Section 10. The sum of $9,850, or so much thereof as may 12 be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of business 13 on June 30, 1997, from appropriations heretofore made in 14 Article 31, Section 10 of Public Act 89-0501, is 15 reappropriated from the Illinois National Guard Armory 16 Construction Fund to the Department of Military Affairs for 17 land acquisition and construction of parking facilities at 18 armories. No contract shall be entered into or obligation 19 incurred for any expenditures from this appropriation until 20 after the purposes and amounts have been approved in writing 21 by the Governor. 22 Section 11. The sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as 23 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois National 24 Guard Armory Construction Fund to the Department of Military 25 Affairs for land acquisition and construction of parking 26 facilities at armories. No contract shall be entered into or 27 obligation incurred for any expenditures from this 28 appropriation until after the purposes and amounts have been 29 approved in writing by the Governor. 30 Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 31 July 1, 1997.
