          Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both  to  the
      Department  of  Labor for fiscal year 1998. Effective July 1,
      1997.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section  1.  The following named sums, or so much thereof
 5    as may  be  necessary,  respectively,  for  the  objects  and
 6    purposes  hereinafter  named,  are  appropriated  to meet the
 7    ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Labor:
 8                   FOR OPERATIONS - GENERAL OFFICE
 9    Payable from General Revenue Fund:

11      For Employee Retirement Contributions
12       Paid by Employer ............................       18,700
13      For State Contributions to State
14       Employees' Retirement System.................       23,900
15      For State Contributions to
16       Social Security..............................       35,800
17      For Contractual Services......................      195,000
18      For Travel....................................       19,600
19      For Commodities...............................        8,500
20      For Printing..................................       24,500
21      For Electronic Data Processing................      297,000
22      For Telecommunications Services...............       22,600

30    Department of Labor for Displaced Homemaker Grants.
