1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 by
2 changing Section 107-15.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
6 amended by changing Section 107-15 as follows:
7 (725 ILCS 5/107-15)
8 Sec. 107-15. Fresh pursuit. When the fact that a felony
9 has been committed comes to the knowledge of a sheriff or
10 coroner, fresh pursuit shall be forthwith made after every
11 person guilty of the felony, by the sheriff, coroner, and
12 each other person all other persons who is by any one of them
13 commanded or summoned for that purpose; every such officer
14 who does not do his or her duty in the premises is guilty of
15 a Class B misdemeanor.
