The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by 6 changing Section 1-12 as follows: 7 (705 ILCS 405/1-12) (from Ch. 37, par. 801-12) 8 Sec. 1-12. Neither the State, any unit of local 9 government, probation department, public or community service 10 program or site, nor any official or employee thereof acting 11 in the course of their official duties shall be liable for 12 any injury or loss a person might receive while performing 13 public or community service as ordered by the court or by a 14 juvenile police officer, nor shall they be liable for any 15 tortious acts of any person performing public or community 16 service, except for wilful, wanton misconduct or gross 17 negligence on the part of such governmental unit, official or 18 employee. 19 (Source: P.A. 85-1209.)
