          Amends  the  Juvenile  Court  Act  of  1987.    Makes   a
      grammatical change in venue Section of delinquency Article.

 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  Juvenile  Court  Act  of 1987 by
 2    changing Section 5-2.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.  The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by
 6    changing Section 5-2 as follows:
 7        (705 ILCS 405/5-2) (from Ch. 37, par. 805-2)
 8        Sec. 5-2.  Venue.  (1) Venue under this Article  lies  in
 9    the  county  where the minor resides or is found.  Venue also
10    lies in the county where the alleged attempt  to  violate  or
11    violation  of  federal, state or local law occurred or in the
12    county where the order of the court,  alleged  to  have  been
13    violated by the such minor, was made unless subsequent to the
14    order  the  proceedings  have  been  transferred  to  another
15    county.
16        (2)  If  proceedings  are  commenced  in any county other
17    than that of the minor's residence, the court  in  which  the
18    proceedings  were  initiated  may at any time before or after
19    adjudication of wardship transfer the case to the  county  of
20    the  minor's  residence  by transmitting to the court in that
21    county an authenticated copy of the court  record,  including
22    all  documents,  petitions  and orders filed therein, and the
23    minute orders and docket entries of the  court.  Transfer  in
24    like manner may be made in the event of a change of residence
25    from  one  county  to  another  of  a  minor  concerning whom
26    proceedings are pending.
