1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Insurance Code by changing
2 Section 143.21b.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
6 changing Section 143.21b as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 5/143.21b) (from Ch. 73, par. 755.21b)
8 Sec. 143.21b. Cancellation due to payment of claim
9 restricted. No policy of insurance as defined in subsection
10 b. of Section 143.13 of this Act may be cancelled where the
11 sole basis for such cancellation is the payment by the
12 insurance company of a claim or claims against such policy.
