1 AN ACT the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities
2 Administrative Act by changing Section 11.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental
6 Disabilities Administrative Act is amended by changing
7 Section 11.1 as follows:
8 (20 ILCS 1705/11.1) (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 100-11.1)
9 Sec. 11.1. Special Education Services. To provide for
10 all recipients living in State mental health facilities
11 between the ages of 3 and 21 years special education
12 services, as defined by the Department, to the extent that
13 the such services are practical for each child's needs. Upon
14 discharge of the child, a report of the discharge,
15 accompanied by a report on the special education services
16 received by that child while in the facility shall be
17 forwarded to the State Board of Education and to the resident
18 school district.
