Amends the Military Veterans Assistance Act. In
provisions regarding procedures to follow if no post or camp
of a military organization exists in the town, makes a
technical change.

1 AN ACT to amend the Military Veterans Assistance Act by
2 changing Section 3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Military Veterans Assistance Act is
6 amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
7 (330 ILCS 45/3) (from Ch. 23, par. 3083)
8 Sec. 3. If In case there is no post or camp of a
9 military veterans organization, in any town in which it is
10 necessary that such assistance as provided in Section 2
11 should be granted, the overseer of military veterans
12 assistance shall accept and pay the orders drawn, as
13 hereinbefore provided by the commander, quartermaster or
14 commandant of any post or camp of a military veterans
15 organization, upon the recommendation of an assistance
16 committee, who shall be residents of the said town in which
17 the assistance may be furnished.
